Donald Edgar Savage was born September 7, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Wyman and Enid Shirley Savage. Donald was a graduate of Haskell High School of Haskell, Oklahoma. While in high school he participated in several sports; such as football, boxing, baseball, and basketball. After graduating high school, continued his education by Training at Auto Mechanic Technical School in Dallas, Texas.
In 1972, he began a career as a security officer for National Republic Bank in Dallas, Texas. Here he stayed as a committed employee for 47 years, weathering several contract changes, and eventually being promoted to security officer supervisor.
Donald accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Haskell, Oklahoma. He later became a faithful, devoted member to Church in the City in Rowlett, Texas. Donald loved the Lord, his family, had a servant’s heart and shared Christ with others as often as he could. He served his church by serving as an usher, serving on the safety team, and also served as a small group leader along with his wife at Church in the City. Donald also served faithfully as vice president of his neighborhood association.
Donald fell in love and married Estella Savage in Dallas, Texas. To this union two children were born; Melody and Misty Savage.
His eternal rest began on September 25, 2019. Preceding him in death are his parents, Wyman and Shirley Savage; siblings Cornell Savage, Richard, Savage, Jane Savage, and Eartha Savage. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Estella Savage, daughters, Melody and Misty Savage,, sister, Brenda Savage, Anson Savage, Trent Savage, and Ibis Savage.. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
