Elmore Haywood, Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deacon Elmore Haywood, Sr, 86, of Desoto.  Surrounded in love by his family, Deacon Haywood went to glory on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  Deacon Haywood will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Community First Baptist Church Church.  He will lay in repose from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the C.H. Gerald Memorial Chapel of Sacred Funeral Home followed by the Wake from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Deacon Haywood will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
