Mikell “Kel” Bronya Phillips was born October 17th, 2004 to the proud parents Shamekia KeShondra White and Mikell Jowan Phillips. Mikell was the third child to his mother, and his fathers only son.
Mikell attended Robert Lee Thornton Elementary, Oliver Wendell Holmes with Dallas Independent School District and he also attended Anna Independent School District.
Believing in God and His Holy Word. Kel joined True Lee Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Donald L. Parish at the early age of 4 years old.
Kel loved playing football, video games, singing, rapping, and interacting with his siblings and friends (which was his favorite thing to do).
On November 8th, 2019 Kel lost his precious life due to gun violence. He is preceded in death by maternal and paternal great grandparents.
He leaves in Gods care: his mother, Shamekia Keshondra White; father, Mikell Jowan Phillips; two brothers, GaCorion Owens and Ronnie Smith; seven sisters, Gatoria Owens, Jaydah White, Saige Phillips, Mikaella Phillips, NyQuel Phillips, Kali Phillips, and Kellsey Phillips; maternal grandparents, Senetria (Bruce) McCoy and Rory Jones; paternal grandparents, Michael (Stephanie) Phillips; maternal great grandparent, Eula Harris and paternal grandparent, special person, Ronnie Smith.; special cousin, Eric Fletcher. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
