Raymond E. McKinney was born in Rosser, Texas on May 13, 1934 to Jack and Ruby McKinney. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. He received his education in Rosser, Texas and Kaufman, Texas public schools. He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Rosser, Texas under the leadership of Pastor, Rev. J.H. Flewellen. Late, after he moved to McKinney, Texas he became disabled and he attended Christ Fellowship Church in McKinney. During this time Raymond rededicated his life to Christ. Many prayers were offered for him through our prayer teams at Christ Fellowship, Full Gospel Holy Temple, Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church and others.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, seven of his brothers, four of his sisters, and his only son, Raymond (Mickey) McKinney.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Mary McKinney; six daughters, Renee (Sammy), Phyllis, Carla, Ranelle (Gerald), Rhonica (Antoine), and Ebony; a special son-in-love, Charles Pressley; a special brother in love, Terrence Simms, one sister, Stella Jones (Lenzie) of Garland, Texas; Grandchildren, Quan (Robert), Kayland (Logenia), Plesence (Keith), Special (Isaac), Jeffrey (Cameron), Dominque, Donovan (Monica), Destinee’ (Michael), Jasmine, Audrey, Antonio, Jr., Tre’, Eva and Ella; Great Grands, Kayland, Jr. Kobe, Kaylee, Kamaren, Bryson, Keith, Jr., Pierce, Michael, Destin, Sophie, Caroline, Ollie, Gwen Rose, Nona, Knixon, and Kruze, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends..
Raymond was a very quiet and private person. His relationship with God our Heavenly Father and Christ our Lord was strictly a personal and private matter.
The funeral service for Mr. Raymond McKinney will be Monday October 29, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the C H Gerald Memorial Chapel in Sacred Funeral Home.
