Allen Ralph Davis was born on September 22, 1961, in Rusk County, Texas to Clarence Davis (D) and Betty Jo (Hart) House. He was baptized into Christ at an early age. Allen was active in FHA in school and involved with animal husbandry and farming in his youth.
Allen graduated from West Rusk High School and joined the United States Air Force where he served as an Aircraft Environmental Systems Mechanic. He faithfully served his country in Europe, and received the AF Longevity Service Ribbon Award, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, and AF Training Ribbon.
After military service, Allen attended DeVry Institute of Technology where he was awarded an associate degree of applied science in electronics. He later went on to develop a keen interest in the field of computer science and became certified as an Information Systems Technician. His interests remain strong with computers and he used those skills at Cedar Crest Church of Christ where he served on the financial committee for years.
Allen later became commissioned in security and worked a short time in this field as well. Among his leisure pursuits were sports, he was a strong Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed music and also spent many pleasurable times with friends on fishing trips.
On June 29th of 2003, Allen was ordained as a Deacon at Cedar Crest Church of Christ, and served tirelessly until his illness in 2017. He was well respected and loved by many.
He leaves to mourn: his wife of 33 years, Gloria; daughter, Althea Davis; stepdaughter, Tracy Davis; mother, Bettie Jo House; brothers, Geoffrey Jonathan Davis (Annette), Bobby Ray Davis (Brenda) and sister, Reveali Shareen Morris (Dexter). Allen is survived by a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and amazing friends.
