On November 30, 1954, in Franklin, Louisiana, Frances Guy McMurray gave birth to a beautiful daughter by the name of Andrewlyn Guy Bailey. Ann graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in 1974. She then attended Dallas Baptist College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business. Ann worked as a Vice President for American Express Travelers for 30+ years.
On June 21, 1975, Ann married Bobby R. Bailey. They had been married for 49 years.
Ann accepted Christ at an early age at the Denley Drive Baptist Church. She later joined Greater Community First Baptist Church on October 23, 2011. Andrewlyn Bailey was a part of the Women's Mission, Sunday School and Church Banquet Committee for 5 years. She was a philanthropist who prioritized helping the community.
Andrewlyn is preceded in death by her mother, Frances McMurray; sons, Andrew Guy & Michael Bailey.
She leaves behind her husband Bobby R. Bailey; two daughters, Kaye Guy-Bowser (Michael) and Karen Bailey-Crenshaw (Jay); one son, Alonzo Bailey (Vickie); two sisters, Claudette Brown (Juan) and Sharon McMurray (Author); two brothers, Craig McMurray and William McMurray, five grandchildren, Andrew Guy Jr., Makayla Bailey, LaAnndrewlyn Bailey, Bria Collins, and B.J., along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
