Antenisha Michelle Thornton “Boo” was born September 29, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois to Calvin Fitch and the late Sarah Adams. Antenisha graduated from Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL in 2000 and decided to attend Cosmetology school thereafter.
On March 18, 2006 she married her best friend Demond Thornton. In 2008 Antenisha and Demond decided to relocate to Dallas, Texas to raise their family. They raised two sons, Demaryon and Dre’Yon Thornton and two daughters, Aniyah and Adreyah Thornton. Antenisha was a devoted church member of Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Kennedy and First Lady Elaine Jones.
Antenisha had a heart of gold. She was very sweet, kind and loving. She put GOD, her husband and children before all things. Her husband and children were her everything. Antenisha was not only a sister, but a mother figure to her younger siblings. She was the glue to her family and wore many hats. She was quiet around those that she didn’t know, but those that did know her knew that she had a fun side. Antenisha loved to laugh and smile, line dance / step and most importantly support her children in their endeavors. She also had a passion for cooking and braiding hair. She was a woman of strength and faith and will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit.
Antenisha answered the Lord’s calling into eternal life on Friday, September 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Adams. She is survived by her husband, Demond Thornton; two sons, Demaryon and Dre’Yon Thornton; two daughters, Aniyah and Adreyah Thornton; his father, Calvin Fitch; four brothers, Antonio Adams, Calvin Adams, Lavelle Fitch, and Michael Fitch (Dora); seven sisters, Carnesha Stanton (Dale), Sarah Adams, LaCora Whitaker, Arsha Fitch, Jasmine Fitch, Mattie Fitch, and Charlene Fitch; uncles and aunts, Doretha Adams, Aline Adams, Donnie Adams, JC Munford, and Michael Adams; mother-in-law, Lola Thornton; sister-in-law, Rasheida Thornton, along with a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
