Anton Torec Upshaw

Anton Torec Upshaw was born to Wilma Jean Tanksley and Thomas James Upshaw on April 5, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Anton accepted Christ as his Savior early in his life. He attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1981 and went on to ATI trade school to pursue a career in welding. He united with Friendship Baptist Church, where he served as a faithful, loving member until being called home. 

He enjoyed spending time with family, working on his truck, had a passion for music, DJ’ing, and putting a smile on everyone's face. 

He joined the Lord on November 30, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Rochelle (Londa) Johnson; wife, Regina Upshaw; the mother of his daughters, Thurma (Shane) Alcantar, and 2 grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Helen Johnson (Richard), Vickie Upshaw, Linda Alexander {Fred), and Thomas Upshaw; children, Antonette Alcantar (John), Toccara Alcantar, Dawnie Chambers (Harold), and Trent Upshaw; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 Godsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and Church Family.
