Antonio A. Elliott

Antonio A. Elliott-Stewart, known affectionally as Tonio, was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to the parentage of Tony G. Stewart and Debra D. Elliott. He left to be with our Heavenly Father on July 27th, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He attended and graduated from Lancaster High School Class of 1992 with honors. After that, he attended college at Cedar Valley Community College and eventually joined the United States Marine Corps, serving 4 years as a specialized rifleman. During his tenure in the Marine Corps, he was a decorated soldier, receiving serval medals and badges such as the National Defense Medal, Certificate of Commendation, Rifle Expert Badge, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast and Navy Unit Commendation Medal.

Antonio was known to his family as the life of the party and was loved by everyone for his fun-loving and witty disposition. He especially loved his nephews and nieces and often referred to them as his own. Antonio loved cooking, home decor, movies, and all genres of music. He was an avid historian and lover of the arts and crafts. He worked in property management most of his life and enjoyed deep, introspective conversations about life, love, family, and politics. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and left an indelible imprint on everyone that he met.

Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Tony G. Stewart, and leaves to mourn his parents, Kenneth & Debra Hannible; sister, Thenesha (Stephen) Traylor; brothers, Dameion (Eboni) Hannible, Kenneth (Deidre) Hannible Jr., and Phillip (Judy) Walker. As well as several beloved aunts and uncles, Willie-Faye Wheeler, Carolyn Stewart, Felisha (Micheal) Davis, Dorlina Woodson, Belinda Peoples, Anthony (Kim) Elliott and Gary (Geraldine) Elliott and a host of nieces and nephews and special cousins and other relatives.
