Antonius Gerard Smith, II affectionally known as “A.J.” was born in the capitol of Texas, Austin at St. David’s Medical Center on July 25, 1999, to the parents of Monica C. Richardson, and Antonius G. Smith, I. A.J. took his eternal rest at the Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas on October 15, 2024, at the young age of 25 years old.
A.J. was a resident of Cedar Hill, Texas where he attended the Cedar Hill elementary and middle schools and graduated from the Cedar Hill High School in 2018. He was a diehard “Longhorn” fan and would often display the “Hook Em Horns” sign when taking pictures. He was a loving, kind, and respectful young man that never met a stranger.
A.J. loved to cook, and eat, as evidenced by his passion of focusing on “Culinary Arts” while in high school. He spent enjoyable moments cooking with his Aunt Kay, affectionally referred to as “My Aunt Kay.” His favorite foods were anything sweet, but his ultimate favorite was chocolate cake.
He always loved spending time with family, and Holidays that brought about family gatherings were his favorites. His second favorite pastime was watching TV. As we are approaching Thanksgiving we will always remember A.J.’s love of cranberry sauce with his side of dressing.
Remembering A. J. are his surviving loved ones: his mother, Monica C. Richardson (Michael), father: Antonius G. Smith, I, grandmothers: Margaret L. Caldwell (maternal) and Geraldine Bender (paternal). Siblings: Alexis Chalmers, Adrian Chalmers, Monica DuBose, and Alexis Smith. Aunts and Uncles: Dorothy L. Greenwood (Michael), Velma Harrison, Francis Stigers, Danny Stigers (Shondra), Travis Stigers (Denise), Melverta Bender, and Samuel Bender.
