Arden Jordan Obituary

Arden Craig Jordan was born on January 13, 1963, to the late Suereatha and Lenard Jordan, Sr. He closed his eyes on January 20, 2025.

Affectionately known as "AJ," Arden was the third of four siblings and lived each day to the fullest. His outgoing, funny, and caring spirit will be deeply missed.

AJ was a proud graduate of Skyline High School, Class of 1981, where he excelled as a dual-sport athlete, playing varsity football and basketball. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University before returning to Dallas. Settling in South Dallas, AJ became widely known and loved as "Carwash," a name that carried stories of connection, community, and resilience.

One thing to remember about AJ was his unwavering love for God. No matter what life threw his way, he always expressed his love for family, friends, faith, and those who looked after him. In his later years, he found his greatest joy in spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, and bringing smiles to their faces. There was never a dull moment between his nieces and nephew and their Uncle Arden.

AJ was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Jordan Sr.; mother, Suereatha Jordan; sister, Sharon Ellis; and nephew, Abram Ellis.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Dontae (Olivia), Asia, and Diamond; his siblings, Leonard Jr. (Loretta) and Philbert; his granddaughters, Jaidyn and Janiya; his nieces, Chermaine and Pajhe’; his nephews, Alonzo III (Nicole) and Ross (Imani); his great-niece, Jersie; his great-nephews, Abram, Sergio Jr., and Ross Jr.; the South Dallas community; the Jordan and Hamilton families; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

AJ’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
