Bobbie Wright Obituary

On March 4,1935 Ocell Sr. and Frankie Miller became the proud parents of Bobbie Jean Miller, the fifth child of eleven children. She began walking at five months and climbing trees at the age of five. Bobbie was reared in a Christian home and educated in Navarro County public school district. She was named Miss Homecoming Queen at GW Jackson High School in Corsicana Texas. Upon moving to Dallas, Texas she met and married Harrison Wright, Jr. She was always a hard worker, very good wife, good mother and good neighbor. She was employed at Manhattan Laundry & Dry Cleaning where she worked for over 35 years until she retired.

At an early age she was baptized at East Side Church of Christ (Corsicana Texas). Upon moving to Dallas, Texas she placed her membership with Fourth Avenue Church of Christ (Dallas, Texas), where she worshipped for many years and later she placed her membership with The Church of Christ at Cedar Valley (Lancaster, Texas) where she was a faithful member until she gained her wings.

At 87 years old, she was still very much active; including driving herself to Church, Ladies Bible Class, Golden Saints Activities and working with the Comfort Pillow Team at Church. She loved watching Soap Operas and Westerns.  She loved to play chicken foot and she was well known for her Chicken Salad, Greens, Hot Water Cornbread, Dressing, Sweet Tea, Sweet Potatoe Pies and Pineapple Cake.
