On May 28, 2025, Bruce Harold McCoy received his wings and went on to be with the Lord after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He departed this life peacefully at Faith Presbyterian Hospice Center surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Bruce put up a good fight until his last breath.
Bruce was born January 26, 1958, to Jimmie Lee McDade Mccoy and Otis Odell Mccoy. He received his education at Ennis-ISD. He later went on to attend Mountain View College and received an associate’s degree in graphic design while working for Rockwell International as the lead Graphic Designer for many years. He married Yvette White Mc Coy Watson and had three children: Shayla Mccoy, Brayla Mccoy, and Nicholas Mccoy. Bruce later became a Carpenter for Greenhill Schools. Later on, after working with students and teaching carpentry, the skills that he loved, he decided to become a General Contractor and start his own business with BHM Enterprise, where building and design were his true passion.
For many years, Bruce used his expertise in designing, molding and building things which he loved. He built fences, floors, full home and business remodeling, furniture, and anything custom that he could design. He never met a stranger and had hands that could build anything and a heart of gold that would always try to help his family and friends whenever they called. He loved mingling with family and playing with dominoes and spades! We have so many fond memories of him that we will cherish forever in our hearts.
Later, he reunited with his high school sweetheart, Senetria White McCoy and wedded in Holy Matrimony for 15 cherishable years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Mccoy; his mother, Jimmie Mccoy; both maternal and paternal grandparents, and one (step)grandson: Mikel Phillips; and one nephew: Heron Jordon.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Senetria Mccoy; children, Shayla Mccoy, Brayla Mccoy, and Nicholas Mccoy (Lisa); stepchildren, Rory White (Heather), and Shamekia White Ennis (James); grandchildren, Aniyah, Anthony, Makenzie, Kylee, Amari, and Mason; step-grandchildren, Cameron, GaCorion, Gatoria, Jaydah, and Ronnie; great grandchild, Londynn; siblings, Sterling Mccoy (Brenda), Johnnie Mccoy, Robert Mccoy, Danny Jordan (Mataya), Terri Jordan, and Jerry McCoy; aunts, Shirley Malone, and Annie (Sugar)Adger, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss his presence.
