God saw you were getting tired, so he put his arms around you, and whispered, “Come to Me.”
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone
for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories and your love will always be our guide.
And although we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
As we bid you farewell, we hold onto the memories
and love that will never fade.
Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.
You are greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Until we meet again, rest peacefully.
From your loving family ~
Mr. Calvin “Wayne” Young was called to share in God’s eternal glory on May 16, 2024. Calvin was born August 6,1965 to the parentage of Irma and Albert Young in Pineville, LA. Calvin was one of four children. He was baptized at an early age at Edgefield Missionary Baptist Church and attended Rapides Parish High School. Calvin relocated to Dallas, TX where he worked for Janitrol Heating and Air Conditioning many years before becoming an over the road truck driver. His final contribution to the workforce was at the United States Postal Service, where he worked for several years and left heartfelt impressions. He was also a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Jeffery D. Thomas. Calvin loved all sports and was a die-hard 49ers fan! Calvin was a guiding light, a mentor, and a source of unwavering love. His beautiful smile and kind spirit would light up a room. He lived a life that exemplified dedication, hard work, and kindness. His legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come. Calvin’s journey on earth has ended. Calvin is now absent from the body and present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
