Carolyn Ann Fischer, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful public servant, entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on March 11, 1954, Carolyn was educated in the Dallas Independent School District. She went on to build a distinguished career with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), where she dedicated more than 25 years of service. Her unwavering commitment, warm spirit, and dependable nature earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Over the years, Carolyn was honored for her service and community impact, recognitions that reflected her love of family, country, and state, as well as her strong work ethic.
Carolyn’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lisa Lattimore and Toshella McDonald; son-in-law, Cedric McDonald; grandchildren, Jermmie Davis, Bennie Davis, and Demetra Lattimore; and great-grandsons, Adam Smith, Jr. and Lamarion Davis. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry Steve Bowie, and is cherished by her eldest niece, Ronda Hill; nieces and nephews, Sherry Morgan (deceased), Ladonna Darling, Patrick Morgan, and Marcus Morgan (deceased); along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever treasure her kindness, sense of humor, and steady encouragement.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Henry; father, John Shelton; and sisters, Beverly Morgan and Sharon Shelton.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her generous heart and her steadfast dedication to family and community. Her legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to live on through the lives she touched.
