Christopher Pope, II Obituary

Christopher E. Pope, II, affectionately known as “Knuckle” was born June 7, 1976 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Christopher E. Pope, I  and Thelma Louise Pope.

Christopher graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Dallas, Texas. Afterwards, he immediately enlisted into the United States Navy where he served for four years. That’s when his first daughter, Jania was born. Five years later, he welcomed into this world his second daughter Journi. He later completed his degree at Mt. View College in Dallas, Texas.

Chris started his career at DART as a rail repairman and was later employed at AT&T as a network center technician for twenty one years until his demise.

We all know “Knuckle” to be an excellent singer and experienced his angelic voice every Sunday at the Mt. View Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. Chris loved the Lord and he strongly believed in the power of prayer. He was a giving person and had a caring spirit for all who came in contact with him, and no one was ever a stranger. He also had an infectious laugh and a love for some good food.

“Knuckle” married the love of his life, Netra Pope on February of 2012.

Christopher E. Pope, II departed this earthly life on June 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Louise Pope; step sisters, Mercy and his step brother, Jeremy.

Christopher leaves to cherish his memories, the joys of his life, a devoted wife, Netra Pope; beloved daughters, Jania Pope, Journi Pope, Octaraus Medlock, and Trena Medlock; grandsons, Trevon Persley and Da’Mauri Matlock; granddaughters, Asia Petrea, Scarlett Petrea, LaMia Persley, and DaMaya Franklin and Baby Pope (unborn).
