Christopher Lynn Raglon was born on March 27, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Michelle Bryant Raglon and Dennis J. Raglon. From an early age, Christopher demonstrated strength, determination, and a heart for service that would define his life. He was a larger-than-life presence with a genuine and humorous soul, bringing laughter, warmth, and light into every room he entered.
Affectionately known as “Chris,” he attended Jimmie Tyler Brashear for prekindergarten then Mark Twain Elementary School in Dallas and later W.S. Permenter Middle School in Cedar Hill. Chris graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 2010, where he was a proud member of the State High School Football Team, playing as an offensive lineman. His dedication, discipline, and teamwork on the field reflected the character he carried throughout his life.
Christopher continued his education at the University of North Texas (UNT), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Business, graduating in 2014. During his college years and beyond, he pursued interests in financial trading and math tutoring, using his analytical gifts to help and uplift others. Chris understood the value of education and often encouraged young people to strive for excellence and remain committed to their goals.
At an early age, Christopher accepted Christ and grew up as a faithful member of the Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ family, where he learned the importance of faith and connection. He actively participated in Bible Bowl and other youth activities that strengthened both his knowledge and love of the Word. As he transitioned to college, Chris faithfully attended Simmons Street Church of Christ, which he lovingly described as his “family away from home.” As a young adult, he was actively involved in youth ministry, working with MACC Children’s Bible Hour and the National Youth Conference of the Church of Christ. He poured into the lives of young people and served his church community with sincerity and love.
Christopher was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Maxey; his mother, Michelle Bryant Raglon; his paternal grandmother, Aretha Raglon; his maternal grandfather, Eddie Bryant; his paternal grandfather, Elvin Raglon; and his uncle, Darrell Bryant.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sister, Alexandria Simone Raglon; his father, Dennis J. Raglon; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Christopher’s legacy of faith, service, strength, humor, and love will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
