Corinthia Clark, known to most as Rent was born on March 25, 1963, to the parentage of Alice and Marvin Clark, both preceded her in death. Rent was a beacon of faith, joy, and dedication throughout her life.
A proud graduate of David W. Carter High School in 1981, she embarked on a fulfilling career at Frito-Lay, serving tirelessly for over 25 years. Her unwavering commitment to her work reflected her character and determination until her health began to decline.
From a young age, Rent accepted Christ into her life, beginning a lifelong walk of faith uniting with Community First Baptist Church on 3200 Ramona Ave under the leadership of the late Pastor C. H. Gerald and later united with Greater Community First Baptist Church on December 16, 2012, now under the leadership of Dr. LaCedric D. Williams continuing her spiritual journey. Rent poured herself into ministry, serving in the choir and prayer ministry, always uplifting those around her. Rent found deep joy in worship. She loved playing her tambourine and expressing her praise through her distinctive flags, bringing light, energy, and spirit to every service she was part of. Her life was a testament to faith, service, and love, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
On April 2, 2026, Rent transitioned peacefully from this life, and while we mourn her absence, we celebrate the remarkable legacy of love and devotion she leaves behind. Those left to cherish her memories are her devoted son, Lee Marvin Clark with the support of his father and her lifelong friend, Lee T. Clark; her beloved grandson, Kayden Clark; her loving brother, Reginald (Sherry); one dear aunt, Linda; two nieces, Andrea and Jasmine; Godchildren, Destiny, Dedrick, and DeMarion, along with a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandmother, Mable Slaughter Smith.
Rent will be remembered for her joyful spirit and the love she shared so freely with everyone she encountered. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
