Derious LaTroy Hood, also known as, “Dee” was born January 5, 1989 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas to Sharon Loyd and Thadious Hood. Dee has three siblings, Keithen Ligans Jr., Kiara L. Ligans, and step brother, Mario Young. He have one half sister, Nakelia Whitaker whom he spent a short time of his life with in Los Angeles, California. He returned to Texas when he was 3 years old to attend school.
Dee was a very gifted child who started Pre-K at the age of 3. He attended several school in Dallas, but moved to Cedar Hill, Texas in 2004 and attended Duncanville High School for two years and transferred to Cedar Hill High School where he graduated. Dee had a good heart and always cared for others. He could do anything that he wanted.
He leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Sharon & Keithon, and his dad, Thadious Hood; three siblings, Keithen Ligans Jr., Kiara L. Ligans, and step brother, Mario Young; half sister, Nakelia Whitaker, and her daughter, Na’Layha Bryson; grandparents, Mrs. Minnie Hood, Willie and Emma Loyd, Jr.; three aunts, Shelia Paul (Correy), Hermeshia Carpenter (Cornelius), and Sharla Hood; four uncles, Robbie Hamilton, John Hamilton, Tim Hood, and Ronnie Hood; cousins, Dakota Hamilton, Vaquitta Carter, Roneika Lockett, Gabrielle Loyd, Brittney Carter, Felice Foreman, Bryce Hyder, Cornelius Shaw, and Robbie Hamilton, Jr. He will be received in Heaven with open arms by his grandparents, Annie Lee Hamilton, Bobby Hood, and Clara Campbell, along with a host of other relatives and friends that love him dearly. Derious was loved by many, but now he has received his wings and has flown away. He will live in our hearts forever.
