Derrick Demond Hicks

Derrick Demond Hicks was born July 15, 1976, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Charles Henry Hicks and Nancy Hall-Hicks.

He attended the Garland Public School District.

Derrick met and married Sheniqua Huff October 15, 2010, and together they had three handsome sons: Daleon, Derrick and Denim.

Derrick overcame many life challenges. He loved hanging with his family and friends, telling jokes and handing out nicknames.

Derrick was very talented and a man of many words. He was very intelligent, and he had a special gift. He loved to draw, but his main gift was his love for rap, dancing and showing off his videos. He will surely be missed but never forgotten – RIP – Gangsta Cain.

Derrick was preceded in death by his Father: Charles Henry Hicks; Mother: Nancy Hall-Hicks; Grandparents: Jessie and Cowetta Hall, A.W. and Zona Hicks; Sisters: Suzanne Hall and Sharon Thompson; Brother: Brian Keith Hall.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: Wife: Sheniqua Hicks, Sons: Derrick DeQuan Hicks, Kamian Hicks, Daleon D’mond Hicks, Derrick Dalon Hicks, Denim Dakota Hicks and Daughter: Avery-Sheree Alaine Reynolds; Brothers: Charles Henry Hicks Jr and Keith Lewis; Aunts: Lizzie Traylor, Annie (Ken) Watters, Annette Hall, Faye Hicks, Wilma Hicks and Lois Richmond; Uncles: Bobby Ray Hall, Elbert Hicks and Melvin Hicks. Mother-in-law: Marie Huff; Special Niece: Gabrianna Mann; Special Cousin: Angel Hall and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
