Donald “Don” Wayne Quaite Sr., a man of God, husband, father, son, a devoted cousin, surrogate uncle, and devoted friend was born October 30, 1959, in Waxahachie, Texas to the parentage of Herbert Donald and Ada Armstead Quaite. He was proceeded in death by his mother.
Don attended elementary and secondary schools in Lancaster, Texas where he graduated from Lancaster Elsie Robertson High School in 1978. Upon graduation, Don attended North Texas State University now the University of North Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He later pursued his Masters, in Legal Studies form Kaplan University.
On September 18, 1993, Don was united in marriage to Chandra Dennis Quaite. To this union two children were born, his pride and joy, Donna Krystal, and Donald Wanye Quaite, Jr (DJ).
Don spent his early years after graduating college, employed by Zales Corporation and Semore Jewelers, where he was often the top salesperson, receiving many awards. He later became an entrepreneur, and founded “The Credit Solver,” where he helped many clients reestablish their credit and counselled them on how to restore their financial status. He later established “Red Bird Mortgage,” where he brokered mortgage loans. Through these services, Don helped thousands of people in his community and across the state. Don later joined forces with Wendell Ormiston, of Ormiston Builders to build houses in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
He received his early Christian education and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas. He continued his spiritual walk and later became an ordained deacon at Community First Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor C.H. Gerald. In 1999, Don united with the Potter’s House Church of Dallas, Texas under the pastoral guidance of Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Don leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 28 years, Chandra Dennis Quaite; two children, daughter Donna Krystal and son Donald “DJ” Quaite; father Herbert Quaite (Dorothy); one aunt, Mary Allen, three uncles, Will, Tyrone and Michael Armstead; mother-in-law Diana Dennis; sister-in-law, Anissa Dennis and brother-in-law Lawrence Dennis Jr. (Michelle) all of Houston, Texas; special kinship Goddaughter Jessica Tuggle, Lawrence Dwayne Dennis, Jaime Quaite, Marcus Allen and Terell McNeal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
