It was a day of rejoicing and thanksgiving on July 23, 1936, the first baby girl was born to Arthur and Bennie Donalson in Leona, Texas.
Dora attended and graduated from Dunbar High School in Ferris, Texas. She was married to Jessie Joe Wynn on May 12, 1956 and to this union, one son was born, Steve Allen Wynn.
She worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Sears Roebuck and Company where she retired after 27 years of loyal and committed service.
Dora loved traveling and spending time with her family. She could hardly wait for holidays and family reunion time and in between time when she could get together with her love ones and enjoy wholesome gigantic laughs! She was an avid reader and adored working her crossword puzzles but most of all she was passionate about reading God’s word.
Dora was a member of First Pentecostal Church of God in Christ under the Pastorage of Elder Joseph Jackson. She loved her pastor and her church family and was faithful until her health declined and she was unable to attend.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Wynn, one son, Steve Wynn, parents, Arthur and Bennie Donalson, five brothers, one sister, three sisters-in-law, and a very special brother-in law, Evangelist Cephas A. Northcutt, Sr.
Dora leaves to cherish precious memories, two grandsons, and one granddaughter; Devin, Stephanie, (Enrique) and Steve Jr., (LaDonna); two sisters, Mary Northcutt, Loyce Owens (James) and two sister-in laws, Earnest Lee Donalson and Ola Mae Donalson. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who dearly loved her and will miss her greatly.
