Dorothy Delores Green Rose was born April 21, 1951 to Malvon Green and Delores Green in Magnolia, Arkansas. She departed this life on October 31, 1924 with loved ones at her bedside.
She spent her early years confessing her faith in Christ and was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Magnolia. In 1987, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she continued to serve the Lord with her sister at New Generation Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor James Charles, and Love 5 C Church under the leadership of Minister James Turknett.
Dorothy dedicated over 35 years of her life as a Nurse, impacting countless lives through her care and compassion until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, James Rose “T-Bow”; her son, Christopher Grant; mother, Delores Smith; father, Malvon Green Sr. and her brother, Malvon Green Jr. We know she is at peace and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories: two sons, Marcus Carter of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Jeremie Grant of Texarkana, Arkansas; two brothers, Robert Howard of Mesquite, Texas and Will Smith, Jr. (Tasha) of Mesquite, Texas; three sisters, Carolyn Payne (Jimmy) of Forney, Texas, Sharon Smith of Arkansas, and Brenda Johnson (Reggie) of Atlanta, Georgia; nieces, Zenika Thomas of Forney, Texas, LaToya Van Ross of Forney, Texas, Shameka Smith, Kesheia Smith, Zenika Carter of El Dorado, Texas, Linda Murria (Darren) of Mesquite, Texas, Valrie Green of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lindsay Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews, Jeffery Green, and Torrence Johnson both of Chicago, Illinois, and Steven Smith of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, along with a host of other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
