Eileen Francis Obituary

Eileen (Stewart) Francis, also known as “Tina”, was born to Anderson A.A. Stewart and Dorothy White-Bloodsaw on September 25, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio. She attended and was baptized at Mount Zion Church in Brooklyn, New York. Eileen sang in the choir, served on the usher board, and was a Girl Scout for many years.

 

Eileen attended Franklin K. Lane High School, where she graduated with honors. She continued her education at New Horizon, where she received a nursing aide certificate at the age of 19. Shortly after, she began her career as a home health aide, dedicating her life to helping others for 50 years. Eileen met and married her late husband Leroy  Francis and moved to Florida in 2006. They were together for 34 years and married for 29. Eileen continued her career as a home healthcare aide in Florida until 2023.

 

Eileen was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Stewart, Vernon Stewart, William White, Eugene Brown, and sister, Helen Stewart-Jones.

 

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Charlene Stewart, and son, David Stewart; four brothers, Donald (Velma), Ronald (Yvette), Anderson (Cynthia), and Brent (Beatrice); four sisters, Linda Cox, Delilah White, Dorothea White, and Gloria Nelms, and sister-in-law, Francis White; grandson, Damincio White; great grandson, Damani White, and great granddaughter, Daija Chanel White. She also leaves behind her best friends included, Valerie Walker, whom she had known since she was 8; Terri Diamond, whom she also met when she was 8; and Mamie Williams, who had been friends with her since they were 15, and her best friend, Monethel (Dimples) Wilson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
