Elva Ree Bennett-Goodwin, the daughter of John and Mary Lou Vick was born May 16, 1967, in Fannin County, Texas. She transitioned on Saturday evening February 24, 2024, at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

 

Elva Ree was a graduate of Bonham High School. She received an associate degree in Business Administration. She worked for DART for 30 years as the Sr Mgr. 

 

Elva married Gary A. Goodwin in Dallas County.

 

She loved many life activities such as traveling, cooking, reading, and music (Sade). She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was very close to Leisa.

 

Elva Ree is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Lou Vick.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Gary A. Goodwin; sister, Mary Jane Thomas, brother-in-law, Brennan E. Thomas; aunt, Myrtle Bennett-Gaffney; cousins Mary King, Leisa Bennett, Danuell Mitchell, Heartfield, Jason Bennett, Karen & Michael Mullens, Mitchell, and Sara Bennett, Elva Ree Harvey and a host of other family members.
