Eva Nell Graves

Eva Nell Graves was born January 28, 1941 to Florine Jackson Jones and James Whitmore in Dangerfield, Texas. She attended school at Waters Bluff in Winona, Texas and Weldon High School in Gladewater, Texas.

Eva Whitmore met Mr. Floyd Harris, Jr. in Winona, Texas and later united in holy matrimony in 1958. To this union, three daughters were born.

After retiring from Western Electric, Eva devoted her time managing her cosmetology business, and spending time with family cooking and baking masterful dishes.

Eva accepted Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of North Glenn Heights Church of Christ in Glenn Heights, Texas. Eva also received communion at home before her health failed. Eva then resided at Crestview Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Johnny Frank Whitmore (Mary Ann). The angel of peace came for her on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three daughters, Sondra, Gwendolyn (Tim), and Wanda (Tony); three sisters, Linda Bircher, Jackie Crawford, and Norma Bolden; two brothers, Dessie (Debra) and Jessie; five grandchildren, Braelon, Timondrick, Tony, Keundra, and Dalton; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Koryn, Kaile, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and life long friends that loved her dearly.
