On the 10th day of July, Felix Spencer, Sr. and Josephine Spencer welcomed a bouncing baby boy and named him Felix Spencer, Jr. in Jefferson, Texas.
Felix was a graduate of Central High School in Jefferson, Texas, Class of 1960. He was a dedicated employee of Minyard’s Food Stores for 32 years. He was a active member, and served faithfully as a dedicated Deacon for over 40 years at Concord Church in Dallas. He was a team leader with the EK Bailey Preaching Conference. His unwavering commitment to his faith and his community touched the lives of countless individuals.
Felix passion was fishing, but his greatest love language was though cooking for loved ones and friends. No matter how many, there was always room for one more.
Felic Spencer, Jr. departed this earthly life on January 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Henry Wesley Spencer (Gene), Robert L. Spencer, and James L. Spencer; his sister, Ermalene Jones; posthumously his brother, Cleveland Spencer; and his grandson, Baby Ja’ian Jennings.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Robbie Spencer; children, Michelle Armstead (Willie), Chauncey Rowden (Sonja), Sekitha Spencer, Kevin Spencer, Eric Spencer, Natarsha Price (Emory), Ray Schufford (Yolanda), Brandon Mims (Tiffany), Jason Mims (Melissa), Charleston Mims, and SuRoya Burns; 35 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three sisters, Maxine Jackson, Velma Allen, and Euralaye Richardson, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
