The Life of a King

Fredrick Eugene Burnett was born on August 26, 1967, to Flora Mae Heywood. Fred was blessed to be raised by a village that included Erma Burnett (Adopted Mother) & Billy Burnett ( Adopted Father). He attended Wilma Hutchins High School and later attended Grambling State University where he graduated and became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Gamma Psi. He later began his journey as a Sherriff with Dallas County for 13 years and as life went on, he retired as his health began to decline.

Frederick accepted Christ years ago and was a faithful member of Pemberton Hill Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas where he was a Humble servant of the Lord and the head song leader.

Fredrick married Shana Helton fifteen years ago and, in this union, they shared many years with their blended family.

Fredrick departed this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, and entered his eternal rest. He joins Erma Burnett, Katrina Hemphill (daughter), Lena Jewel Murphy (Grandmother) and many others proceeding him in death.

Cherishing, honoring, and celebrating Fredrick’s journey: wife (Shana Helton-Burnett), daughter (Zandra Henson), sons (Carlton Shelmon, Jr & Dominique Shelmon), sisters (Kim Dotie), (Paula Faye) and (Enola Mathis). Brothers (Paul Dotie), (Tyron Burnett) and (Anthony Burnett & Ramona-wife). Father and Mother-in-law, (Charles & Doris Helton). His special Great nephew, (Brayden Searl), God-daughter, (Jamia Purifoy), God-sons (Demarion King), (Jamarion Rainey) and a host of relatives and friends.
