Jasey B. McGown

Jasey B. McGown was born July 12, 1935 to the parentage of Lee Arthur Collins and Bernice Jones in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she also attended public schools. She was a very devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of many she came in contact with.

She met and later married Eara C. McGown on January 5, 1957 in Dallas, Texas.

Jasey had an unwavering faith in God and accepted Christ.  She was a member of General Assembly Church of the Living God. She worked and retired from St. Micro Electronic, Inc. She later worked for the Dallas Independent School District as a cook.

Jasey B. McGown went home to Glory on July 7, 2020 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Arthur Collins and Bernice Jones; husband, Eara C. McGown; and brother, Jack Collins.

Surviving her are: children, Carl McGown (Susie), Vanessa Holt (Gerald), Sylvester McGown (Ruth), and Mitchell King; brother, Lee Collins; grandchildren, Doland McGown, Latasha McGown, Kristyl Crayton, Tiffany Dillard, Sylven McGown, Joshua Holt, and Kayla Simpson; great grandchildren, Christian McGown, Jaylin Wesley, and Rhyder Smith; special friends, Maxine Watson, Rose Scott, and Edwina Simon, along with a host of other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
