Jason Dawon Knight was born Monday, August 17, 1987, in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Jonathan Knight and Annie Knight (Lynn). He was the youngest of five boys. Jason gave his life to Christ and was baptized on February 19, 2023. He lived a life of love and laughter and touched countless lives with his commitment to kindness and community.
He graduated from North Crowley High School in 2006 and went on to attain an associate degree from Wake Technical College. Jason would go on to work in customer service and IT for Sprint and Sirius XM, which fit his personality in serving others.
Jason lived a vibrant life and had a passion for singing – he was electric with a microphone in his hands, and at times, even without one. He had a gift to seize moments with his voice. Jason enjoyed spending time with his family, watching and playing sports, and playing video games. His spirit will forever inspire those who knew him.
Remaining to cherish Jason’s memory are fiancé, Jessica Turner; parents, Jonathan Knight and Annie Knight; brothers, Jonathan Knight Jr. (and wife, Syreeta), William Knight, Joey Knight, and Juston Knight; sister, Falicia Lynn; nieces and nephews, Kemani Knight, Emani Knight, Jonathan (Trey) Knight III, Ashanti Knight, Jalen Knight, William Knight Jr., Waylon Knight, Alexcia Knight, Kaden Knight, Cadier Lynn, Chassity Lynn; and cousin, Derrik Johnson.
