Jearlean S. Coleman, affectionately known as Pumpkin or Jerri, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on August 10, 1939, in Monticello, MS, she spent her most recent years in Dallas, TX.
Jearlean was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished by her son, William R. Parkman Sr., and her grandchildren, Sonja McDowell, Raven Parkman, and William R. Parkman Jr. She loved and adored all of her great grandchildren, Alexa R Parkman, Terrell McDowell, Kynsie R Parkman. She is also survived by her brother, Roan Parkman, and many cousins like Mary Ann Taylor.
A graduate of Southern Bible Institute, Jearlean had a passion for helping others, which led her to be actively involved in here church. Jearlean love for the Lord brought joy to everyone who was in her presence. Her love for crochet, travel, and spending time with family and friends defined her joyful spirit. A lifelong admirer of gospel music, Jearlean found solace and inspiration in its uplifting melodies.
Jearlean's warm heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
