Born on September 17, 1964, in Dallas Texas, John "Big Chris" Rogers lived a life defined by love, generosity, and faith.  He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle cousin and cherished friend whose kind selfless spirit touched the lives of many. 

Chris spent decades as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to travel across the country and experience places that many only dream of seeing.  He embraced life on his own terms and will be remembered for his unwavering love for God, his deep devotion to family and friends, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. 

Chris leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Chris Rogers; his grandchildren, Charity and Christian: his sister, Gwen Gillis; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Rogers; his father Felix Rogers; and sister, Shirley Johnson.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the countless memories, laughter and love Chris shared with us.  His legacy of faith, strength and compassion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.
