Kathleen McFarlin Obituary

Today, we come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many Kathleen McFarlin. Born to Adam and Lillie Mae Hatcher on February 18, 1952. She was a graduate of Como Junior Senior high school class of 1970. From her early days as a child dedicating her life to Christ at Johnson Chapel Church in Fort Worth, Texas, to her later years as a member of Strangers Rest Church. She is a current member of Great Commission Baptist church. She married Terry McFarlin on Nov. 28, 1981, until his death. She worked for Texas instruments and the United States postal Service. She walked in faith and lived a life guided by the love of God.

In times of sorrow and loss, we find solace and comfort in the words of the Bible. As it says in Romans 14:8, "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." This verse reminds us that our lives are in God's hands, and through Him, we find peace and eternal life.

Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will forever be cherished. Her son, DeAngelo Del Juan Thomas, was a source of joy and pride for her. She was a devoted mother, sister to Colleen Hatcher Nolly, (Melvin), a loving aunt to Melvina Marie Lenton, (Curtis). Her presence brought warmth and light to all who knew her. We want to give special thanks to our family caregiver Tara Elizabeth Thomas.

We also remember those who have gone before her - her parents Adam and Lillie Mae Hatcher, her husband Terry McFarlin, her sister Maude Esther Marie Madkin and her daughter Charleicia Quianne Nolly. May they rest in peace and may their memories bring comfort during this time of mourning.

In addition to her immediate family, Kathleen leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her grandchildren - granddaughters Kaylan, Alexandria, Candyce, Zauria, Heaven, Demi, and grandsons Shondrick, Jordan, and a host of relatives. Her love and spirit will live on through each of them.

As we reflect on the life of our Kathleen, let us remember her kindness, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared with all. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will continue to shine bright in our hearts. May you Kathleen rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of God. She will be dearly missed and always remembered with love.
