Kathy Poston Obituary

Kathy Poston was born in Dallas, Texas on April 13th, 1963 to Carolyn Gray and Ormond Moore. Kathy was brought up in the home of Carolyn and Willie “Cat Daddy,” Coleman. She graduated from A. Maceo Smith High School in 1981. She went on to Wiley College where she joined Delta Sigma Theta and graduated in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Minor in Accounting. Throughout her life, she worked in Payroll and Accounting for BKM, PepsiCo, and other companies. Most recently, she managed Payroll and Human Resources administrative services for RTR Consulting. 

 

Kathy married Anthony Poston on September 23, 2000 and enjoyed 20 years together. They raised their two children in that union.

 

Kathy delighted in serving Christ. She fulfilled the mandate to preach the gospel to all creation with Love Dallas where she served as the Front of House Coordinator and rejoiced in being used by the Lord to love on people. Her caring, supportive, and nurturing nature is what has affectionately earned her the name Mama K. Kathy accepted God’s calling as a Prophet, she was on track to graduate as a student at Apostolic Movement International’s Prophetic School based in San Diego, California.

 

Kathy Poston transitioned to her heavenly resting place on Monday, May 24, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn and Willie Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Anthony Poston; daughters, Tiffany & Kristen Gray; father, Ormond Moore; brothers and sisters, Cassandra Deadmon (Tyrone, deceased), Ronald Gray (Demetria), Vivian Coleman, Diedra Coleman, and Harvey Coleman (A’tarka); nieces and nephews, Eric Gray (Sequena Gray), Christina Franklin, Christopher Adams, Claude Adams, Britney Dews, Brian Dews, Briana Dews, Brandon Dews, Tajah Coleman, Matthew Coleman, and Kai’ynce Coleman.

 

Kathy will forever be treasured by her husband, children, father, siblings, other relatives, friends, and many spiritual sons and daughters.
