Keith Joseph Simon passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, January 5, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, and a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
Keith was born in Houston, TX on March 13,1967. As a teenager, Keith moved to Dallas where he attended Carter High School. Keith led a life marked by compassion and unwavering love. His dedication to his family was unparalleled, and his presence illuminated the lives of those around him. He will be remembered for his infamous greens, barbeque, and soul food cooking. He had a passion for music, a dedication to watching the Dallas Cowboys even though he turned the game off if they were losing. Keith had a passion for security and worked as a Security Officer for the last 13 years. He recently earned his Level IV license and enjoyed working on his personal protection detail.
Keith’s marriage to Tonuia Simon of 12 years was a true testament of enduring love and commitment which created a bond that withstood the tests of time. They enjoyed their time together and each other’s company. When you saw one of them you saw the other, Keith loved Tonuia and she loved him.
Keith will be deeply missed for his infectious laughter, his humor, his gentle guidance and being the life of any family gathering. He touted himself as being a “Dominologist” as he bragged about giving lessons. Keith touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. Keith Joseph Simon will forever remain alive in our hearts as a beacon of love.
Keith Joseph Simon was preceded in death by his son, Johntavius Duffie and Mother Joan Wilson.
His legacy will live on through his children whom he nurtured with wisdom, kindness, and endless love. He leaves to cherish his memory, five sons, Demarques Duffie, Steven Simon, Keith Simon Jr., Joshua Simon, and Demmery Simon; 3 daughters, Ambria Johnson, Kaysha Eaton, and Diedra Simon; four sisters, Alicia Toney (Bill), Inger Simon, Stephanie Ford (Calvin), and Edith Barnett (Elzie); 1 brother, Lawrence Wilson II; an aunt, Gwendolyn Wykoff, 12 grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
