On this day, March 9, 1967, the world welcomed a new life, filled with potential and promise. Kelly Lynn Ferrell, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Kelly was born in Dallas, Texas, to the parents of Ouida Gail Moten and James Brown. She attended North Dallas High School where she received her High School Diploma. Kelly’s family was her greatest joy; she devoted her time to raising her two children and baking desserts.
Throughout her life, Kelly embodied kindness and compassion, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an innate ability to make others feel loved and valued, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Kelly is preceded in death by her mother, Ouida Gail Butler; her sister, Kim L. Brackens and grandparents Helen and Marvin Moten. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her husband, Charklin “Charles” Ferrell; daughter, Whitney Ferrell; son, Aaron Ferrell; sisters Jacquita Moten and Jamesa Moten; brothers Jason Moten (Carolyn Moten) and Keith Moten (Donnita Moten); her aunt, Pamela Moten; and a host of other family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Kelly’s presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us each day. In honor of her memory, let us celebrate kindness, love, and the joy she brought to our lives.
