Kenneth King Obituary

Kenneth Lee King, born August 2, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, entered this world as a blessing to his mother, Bessie King (late Bessie Dacus). On March 29, 2026, Kenneth peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and strength that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

In 1985, Kenneth married NaDoris Moffett, and together they built a life rooted in family, faith, and commitment. Their union was blessed with one son, Casey King, whom Kenneth cherished deeply. Becoming a grandfather brought him tremendous joy, and he adored his grandchildren, Saniah and Ceion King, who were constant lights in his life.

Kenneth is lovingly remembered by his six sisters—Blythe Lyon, Freddick King (Jelette) Sharon Jackson, James Mtichell, Pamela Burnett (Donald), Lavon Favors and Lionell Dacus and his aunt Wanda Daniels He also leaves behind his grandchildren, extended relatives, and a host of friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Kenneth built a remarkable 28‑year career with the City of Dallas. He began his service in the Street Department, where his strong work ethic and reliability quickly became evident. Over the years, he advanced to truck driver and later to machine operator, earning the respect of his coworkers and supervisors alike. His dedication to safety and professionalism was recognized when he received a 25‑Year Safe Driving Commendation, honoring his long‑standing commitment to excellence on the road. After nearly three decades of loyal service, Kenneth retired from the City of Dallas with honor and gratitude from those who worked alongside him.

Those who knew Kenneth will remember him as a man of bold personality and outspoken spirit. He was never afraid to speak his mind, stand firm in what he believed, or let you know exactly how he felt. His honesty, humor, and larger‑than‑life presence made him unforgettable. Kenneth brought energy into every room he entered, and his voice—full of character and conviction—left a lasting impression on everyone around him. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and lived authentically.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Kenneth’s spirit lives on in the hearts of his family, in the lessons he taught, and in the love he gave so freely. His life was a testament to perseverance, loyalty, and the enduring power of family.
