Kindria Monee Deshonn Mullen was born on February 3, 1971, in Dallas, Texas. As the eldest of three sisters, Kindria grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and care for those around her. She accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith as a guiding light throughout her life.
From a young age, Kindria dreamed of becoming a teacher, a calling she pursued with determination and passion. After earning her high school diploma, she continued her academic journey by achieving an associate degree from American River College in Sacramento, California, a Bachelor of Science in Human Service Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Education and Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. She also earned multiple certifications throughout her career, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.
Kindria was a great mother and grandmother who always showed her support and went above and beyond for not only the children she gave birth to, but everyone she came in contact with. She had a great impact on the community, and had lots of passion for making sure the surrounding kids understood what true love really is.
Her love for teaching was evident in every classroom she entered. She started off teaching vacation bible school and children's church as well as working for the after-school program. As a dedicated educator, Kindria made a lasting impact, teaching special education as well as sixth, third, and fifth grade. Her classroom was filled with encouragement, creativity, and a genuine love for learning.
Beyond teaching, Kindria was a vibrant and joyful soul who loved music, especially karaoke, where her radiant energy and carefree spirit shined brightly. She also loved to take pictures, and she enjoyed crafting. She believed in embracing every moment and spreading joy to those around her.
Kindria’s legacy of love, faith, and service to education will be forever cherished. She leaves behind to celebrate her legacy, life, and memory: her children Jessica, Jeffery, Emani, and step-daughter Alexis. Her grandchildren- D’Kareyea, D’Airah & D’Aree. Her sisters Tangelia & Shemica and her mother Mary Mullen, also her nieces and nephews and a host of many family and friends.
This day is dedicated to Kindria; a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, as well as a devoted praying partner who would always remind you to "pray about it." We come together to honor the everlasting impression she made, the countless lives she touched, and to celebrate her beautiful spirit and remarkable legacy. Kindria will truly be missed by many!
