Klaudia M. Vega was born February 9, 1975 in Dallas, Texas to Dario and Teresa Moreno. Her younger siblings include sister Delia Moreno-Rodela and brother J. Carlos Moreno. Klaudia has three children, Jose A. Alvarez, Karina E. Vega, and Gabriel D. Vega. Klaudia graduated from Sunset High School in 1993 and was a member of the Cheerleading Squad and tennis team. At the age of 12, Klaudia began taking Taekwondo and worked hard to become a 4th degree black belt. Later, she opened the Bushido Martial Arts Academy in Oak Cliff and trained children and adults from all over Dallas County. Klaudia loved training her students and took immense pride in seeing them grow and develop over the years. Taekwondo was one of Klaudia’s passions.
In May of 2004 Klaudia graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. After college, she began teaching at George Peabody Elementary in Dallas. Klaudia found her second passion in teaching young children. In 2012 she moved to Rosemont Elementary to continue her teaching career. She was a firm believer that the success of her students had to begin with her, and she poured her heart and soul into being an educator.
Above all else was Klaudia’s love for God. Growing up in the Church of Christ instilled the Christian values that Klaudia lived by everyday of her life. She loved reading the bible, fellowship, singing songs and teaching her students at church. She spoke to anyone and everyone about God and what it meant to be Christian. Her faith in God was unwavering. She acknowledged that she wasn’t perfect, but she tried her best to live by God’s word and to pass that word on to family and friends. Klaudia’s love for God was the most important thing in her life and it established her foundation for her family. This foundation is the legacy she leaves her children: Jose, Karina, and Gabriel.
