La'Honita Young

La’Honita Lastrice Young was born March 31, 1968, in Paris, Texas to the late Gwendolyn Young - Mackey and Buddy Dixon both of Paris, Texas. La’Honita was a graduate of Health Magnet of DISD, La’Honita was a straight A honor student while in high school. While in high school La’Honita participated in several organizations such as band, etc. La’Honita accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Paris, Texas. La’Honita loved the Lord, her family, had a servant’s heart and shared Christ with others as often as she could. La’Honita fell in love with Kendrick Jones in Dallas, Texas being united for 8 years.

Her eternal rest began on July 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm. Preceding her in death are grandparents, Estella May Young and Edd Young; parents, Gwendolyn Young Mackey and Buddy Dixon; sibling, Aimee Nicole Young. La’Honita leaves to cherish her memories, brothers, Calvin Young of Plano, Texas and Vincent Young of Dallas, Texas; children, Harold Hines Jr, Christopher Lewis, Gwendolyn Young, Alexis Young, Cami Lewis, and Amiya Jackson; boyfriend, Kendrick Jones; best friend, Mari Flores. La’Honita also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
