Larry Adams Obituary

Larry Joe Earl Adams was born on March 24, 1952 in Marshall, Texas. He was the second child of five born to the union  his parents Alton and Bernice Adams.

 

Larry accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Cedar Crest Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. He attended Cedar Crest Church of Christ for over thirty plus years, and later became one of the first Deacons.

 

Larry graduated in the Class of 1970 from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Dallas, Texas. Larry attended The University of Texas at Arlington. He accomplished a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (BSE). He became a professional Electrical Engineer and a Master Electrician. He was part of the National Society of Professional Engineers & Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Larry was employed for over thirty five plus years as an electrical engineer with Texas Utilities (TXU) and R-Delta Engineers, Inc. in Garland, Texas.

 

Larry was the owner of Adams Repair for many years.

 

He married his wife, Rachel Crawford on July 30, 1977 at Peak & East Side Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. To this union two children were born: Larah and Michael.

 

Larry departed this life on August 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Adams, Sr.; mother, Bernice Adams; and sister, Mary Rambo.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Rachel Adams; daughter, Larah Brown (Mytron); son, Michael Adams; three granddaughters, Arah, Iyanna, and Aniyah; one grandson, Collin; three brothers, Stanley Adams, Alton Jr., and Kinnie Adams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

 

Larry Adams will be remembered for his wisdom, goal driven, uplifting sprit, integrity and for being a family man. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
