Linda Kay Collins was born July 3, 1958, in Sioux City, Iowa to the parentage of Glenn E. Thompson and Dorothy Ann Nelson. She eventually relocated to Dallas, Texas where she reminded until her demise. She met the love of her life, Willie Collins and on July 27, 1996, they were joined together in holy matrimony being united for 25 years.
Linda attended Greater Community Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. LaCedric Williams, where she severed on the Hospitality Board, Foundation for the Needy and the National Cancer Association. Linda had a giving spirit and enjoyed praising the Lord. Her last place of employment was Cintas where she retired after 10 years. During her years of retirement, she loved shopping, taking pictures, creating beautiful floral arrangements, helping her husband do chores around the house, and most of all spending time with her family.
Linda departed this earthly life on September 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn E. Thompson; mother, Dorothy Ann Nelson; and son, Billy Joe Moore. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Willie Care Collins; two sons, David Williams and Andrew Williams; two daughters, Tyniesha Collins and Natasha Collins; brother, Jimmy Gilbert, along with a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
