Lola B. Allen

Lola B. Allen was born April 12, 1931 to the late Oliver Allen, Sr. and Mother Melinda Allen in Waskom, Texas.

Lola received her education from Waskom School District and graduated from Central High School in 1950. She later pursued her professional career doing Home Health Care until she could no longer work.

She truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time and having fun with her family, cooking, dressing up, playing cards and dominoes. She was known for her love of drinking Coca-Cola Cokes.

Lola B. Allen departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 9, 2020. She was preceded in death by her children, Harold Fields, Peggy Gabriel, and Michael Allen; siblings, RC Allen, Oliver Allen Jr., Cleveland Allen, Bill Allen, Evelyn Wilson, and Bobbie Caldwell.

Lola is survived by her children, James Allen, Shirley Jones, Joyce Elkins (Herman), Gregory Allen (Dorothy), and Melinda Kay Raven (Eddie); brother, Grady Allen (Emma); along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom she loved and adored dearly.
