On May 12, 2024, at 12:38 am the LORD made the final call to welcome his daughter, Lorine into Heaven. Lorine Pearson was born on April 21, 1938, to the parents of the late Jessie May Patterson and the late Frank Monson who she preceded in death. She was also preceded in death by her two daughters, Linda Pearson & Deborah Pearson Moten and 3 siblings, Frank Monson Jr, Darnetha Ambrose, and Terry Patterson Sr.
Lorine Pearson was a dedicated and hardworking businesswoman. She worked in the US Steel Mill for 30 years where she proudly retired as one of the first black female crane operators. She also was very successful in several business endeavors including Real Estate. She was strong-minded and determined to get things done and always provided for her 7 children. She managed her family with an iron fist and the tough love they needed to survive in life. Lorine was a soldier; a warrior and she reared her children and grandchildren in the same fashion. She loved Emeril Lagasse’ and all the cooking shows on TV. Her favorite thing to do was EAT! Her favorite sayings were, YOU KNOW WHERE YOU BEEN, BUT YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GOING! I’M YA MAMA! YOU DON’T HAVE NO FRIENDS BUT ME!! LIFE IS COLD, BUT IT’S FAIR and the most famous line of them all “LISTEN TO LORINE PEARSON”, I KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!
Lorine Pearson leaves behind 5 children: Curtis Pearson, Sr. (Cheryl), Mardrell Wise, Kenneth Pearson (Doris), Calvin Williams, and Tarsha Lynch (Vernon); 19 grandchildren: Ikeysha Rogers, Loyshay Boone, William (Wheatman) Wheaton, Michelle (Mickey) Wheaton, Edricia Vaulx Leonard, Carmelia Pearson, Clinton Pearson Kenneth Wise Jr., Keniesha Trimble, Kimberly Wise, La’Trice Pearson, Kenneth Pearson Jr, Reginald Pearson, Ebony Pearson, Courtney Dunn, Calrisha (Shay)Williams, Calvin Williams Jr., Amber Brown, and Benjamin Long. She also leaves to mourn 4 siblings: Gladys Patterson, Dorthy Ann Edmonds, Shirley Mae Brent, and Luther Patterson Jr.; a proud number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, loving nieces & nephews, and host of additional loved ones and friends.
