Loyce Evelyn Langston, transitioned from this earthly life on June 17, 2025. Born on February 13, 1954, in Wills Point, Texas, Loyce was the daughter of the late Drue Edward Langston and Pearlyne Graham.
She attended W.H. Burnett Elementary School and graduated from Terrell High School in Terrell, Texas.
Her passion for service led her to further her education at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated in February 1994. Loyce dedicated a significant part of her life to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Parole Division, where she later retired.
In her later years, she found a spiritual home at New Hope Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas, under the leadership of Reverend Reginald Jefferson, which brought her great joy until her passing.
Loyce was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters, and one brother.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a special niece, Lei Tasha Jackson; two great nieces, LaQuita Prox and Khadejea McCray; a great-great nephew, Haydon Ross; two great-great nieces, Na’Loni Ross and Kharrington Reeves; and three aunts: LuBertha Hicks, Gloria Kidd (James), and Franceal Williams (Glenn). She also leaves behind her sister, Pamela Jobe; two special friends, Cleophus Wilson and Cynthia Smith; special friend, Carolyn Wimberly, and a host of nieces, one nephew, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memories.
