Mary was born September 9, 1952, in Oklahoma to Johnnie Jackson and James McClendon, who proceeded her in death. Mary was educated in the Dallas School District.
Later in life, she met and married the late Phelom Ray Lewis Sr. Mary later met and married Donnie Kimbrough.
Mary enjoyed being a mother, caregiver to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, most of all worshiping God. She accepted Christ at an early age and always strived to serve God, even though her failing health.
Mary is also proceeded in death by late sister Katherine Jackson, sister Linda Clinton Lockett, and brother Jerry Jackson.
Mary leaves behind the following to cherish her memories: husband, Donnie Kimbrough: daughter, Sonya Jackson; three sons, Phelom Lewis Jr., James Lewis (Verbal) and Donnie Lewis; grandchildren, Antwanette Jackson, Sashiba Jackson-Coleman (Frell), Montregg Calloway, James Lewis Jr. (Kela), Jarquis Lewis, Atlantis Lewis, Keyona Lewis, Ynesia Lewis, Jarious Lewis, Semaj Lewis, Dwaylon Lewis, Byron Fossett Jr., McKenzie Lewis, Shanice Jackson, Sharnina Jackson, Shaquelia Wilson, and Robert Wilson Jr.; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kelester Jackson (Addie), Alvin Jackson, Dianne Jackson, Larry Jackson, and Janice Jackson; aunts, Sylvia Oniya, and Nathania “Dinky” Brown; sister cousin, Barbara Mayfield; spiritual sister/amazing friend, Marty Drury Wing and daughters, Tracy Worthy Johnson, and Brianna Montgomery. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and special friends.
