Mia Thomas Obituary

Mia Simone Thomas was welcomed into this world on January 5, 2005, by her loving, caring and devoted parents Jennifer Marie Thomas and Robert Anthony Thomas.  What a blessing and joy she was to them and the entire family.

Mia attended Desoto Private School from Pre-k 3 to 6th grade.  After graduating from Desoto Private School Mia attended Life School, Waxahachie. At an early age Mia would praise dance with her twin cousins, Kaitlyn and Kyla at Loving Fellowship Baptist Church.

At the age of 3 Mia got involved with soccer and cheerleading. As the years went by Mia began competition cheering with Dynasty Cheer and Dance, where she was so proud to say that she was the captain of the cheer team.  Her big sister, Makayla also cheered with Dynasty Cheer and Dance. Mia then focused on volleyball in the 5th grade which she enjoyed with her twin cousins, they were inseparable. Mia enjoyed traveling, cooking, and being with family and friends.  She made sure her hair and nails were done and would say “I need to put these girls on my stylist” And of course, if you knew Mia, collecting shoes was at the top of her list.  Her favorite shoe collection was Jordans. Mia also joined the choir at Life High School and was anxiously waiting for the arrival of her letterman jacket for varsity choir.

Mia leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving parents, Jennifer and Robert Thomas.  We can’t forget her three loving sisters Makayla (Kevan), Tiayana, Madisen (Alex) and her only nephew Kodie. Mia’s aunts and uncles are Tamika (T.K.), Geoffery, Nicole (Chad), Felicia, Michael (Aisha), Dereak (Darlene), Shellia (Wilford), Jean (Ruben), Billy. Her grandparents are Etta and Nelson Slaughter, Charles Hayes (deceased), Evelyn and Julius Thomas (deceased). Mia was loved and will be missed by her cousins, friends, and everyone who came in contact with her.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." -Revelation 21:4
