God entrusted Herndon Williams and Martha Lee Williams to care for his angel, Barbara LaNella Williams on April 29, 1956. She was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. Barbara was baptized at the tender age of 9 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas under the care of the late Reverend L.C. Thompkins. Barbara was an usher and sung in the choir. In 1998, Barbara joined Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ, in Lancaster, Texas under the care of Pastor Gerald W. Jones, Sr.
Barbara was the seventh of thirteen children. She attended Mattie Jones Elementary School, A.T. Stewart Middle School and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, where she was the first Black Southern Belle. On September 18, 1978, Barbara enlisted in the United States Army where she Honorable served until June 10, 1994. After joining the military, Barbara studied and became an Ordained Minister under the direction of Pastor T.H. Barefield. In 2014, she also completed her Evangelist Missionary training. While in the Army, Barbara's primary specialties where Automated Logistical NCO and Unit Supple NCO.
Barbara returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 2, 2020. Her work which God created for His purpose is complete here on earth. She leaves to cherish all of her laughter, golden memories, hugs, and love to be shared with a host of family and friends that loved her dearly.
