Moneka Kanyel Woods

Moneka Kanyel Savage Woods was born on December 30, 1978, to Brenda Jean Moore Savage and Jerry Savage. Moneka was extremely intelligent and excelled at almost everything she set her mind to. She graduated from Kaplan University in the year 2010 with an associate's degree in information technology.

Moneka enjoyed watching murder mysteries, unsolved crime cases and thrillers. She was an avid reader and a creative spirit with a great pen for poetry.  Moneka was an excellent cook and took pride in taking time and teaching her children recipes handed down to her from her family. 

She was an endearing mother, loving grandmother, adored sister, cherished daughter, precious daughter in law, and a very loving supportive wife. Moneka leaves behind to cherish her memories: Her husband Damion Woods, Her children (Oldest to Youngest):  Darius Jerrod Savage, Kyana Lashae Woods, Kayla Aarion Woods, and Caleah Denise Woods, Two Grandchildren: Lyric Rain Savage (Darius) and Anaiya Monae Woods (Kyana). She also leaves behind her sister, LaCresha Denese Savage as well as her parents, Jerry Savage and Brenda Moore Savage.
