He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating honor, commitment, and patriotism throughout his military service. Following his time in the military, Ollie dedicated more than 40 years to the United States Postal Service, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to serving his community.

He made his home in Dallas, Texas, where he built a life centered on family and faith. Ollie was known for his wisdom, resilience, and unwavering love for those closest to him. His presence brought comfort and guidance to many, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In his leisure time, Ollie enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing stories, fishing, grilling, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. He found great joy in watching his family grow and took pride in the accomplishments of each generation. His warm spirit, gentle nature, and steadfast support touched countless lives and left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 50 years, Debria Harris; his children, Marie Pleshette Harris, Marquis Griffin (Marvelous Griffin), and Brian J. Harris (Crystal Harris); his cherished grandchildren, Ashley Marie Ordonez(Jake Ordonez) and Elijah Harris; and his beloved great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his love and memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie James Harris Sr.; his sister, Linda Ann Hurston; and his brother, Larry Harris.

He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Ann Harris; and his siblings, Willie Jean Harris, Jenice Anderson, Joe E. Harris, Diana Jones, Demetrice Harris, Verna Harris, and Nedra Rhienhart.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy of love, service, and devotion will remain a lasting source of strength and inspiration for his family and friends. The family is grateful for the many prayers, expressions of sympathy, and acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.
